SBF Small Block Ford 289/302 Steel Main Cap Girdle

Engineered to help eliminate the block flex and cap walk that occurs as a result of stress while under extreme loads, or during nitrous oxide power bursts in high performance engines. Main girdles are manufactured from premium quality 1045 billet steel. Includes high quality Fasteners and hardware.

Stock Ford small blocks don’t have four bolt main caps so we recommend using our steel main girdle to increase the strength of the bottom end. Includes 5140 steel studs, nuts and spacers.

Note:   1979-1995 Ford 302 engine main caps are different than the pre 1978 289/302 engines. The 1979 and newer 302 engines may require extra clearance around the main caps.
